Rigpa's First Drupchen in English

In a significant milestone, and following years of training, mentorship and encouragement from a number of eminent lamas, Rigpa has just completed its first full drupchen in English. Around 150 pioneering practitioners gathered at Lerab Ling to invoke the blessing of Tara for 7 days, practising Chime Phakme Nyingtik 24 hours a day. More than 50 entrusted Practice Holders arrived early to undertake a week of training and to help with the preparations. The week was marked by laughter, friendship and a supportive atmosphere as many people tried things for the first time.

The Early Days of Lerab Ling, A Place of Enlightened Activity

While slowly being adapted to become a Tibetan Buddhist centre, Lerab Ling was used from day one as a place for teachings and practice. During its first two years of existence, it was visited by Kyabje Dodrupchen Rinpoche, hosted a three-month retreat with teachings by Sogyal Rinpoche, Dzogchen Rinpoche and many others, and provided the setting for the unique historic meeting of the two main incarnations of Tertön Sogyal.
