Wang Dü Festival 2026
About the Festival
From 3 March (Chokhur Düchen) — 12 April (Dakini Day) we invite you to participate in an international “Wang Dü festival” where we can get together with sangha friends in our centres, at our homes (Wang Dü dinner party anyone?), and online to accumulate this most powerful of prayers so that we may gather the circumstances to accomplish our own paths and the general accomplishment of dharma activities around the world!
The full title of what we refer to as ‘Wang Dü’ by Mipham Rinpoche is The Great Cloud of Blessings: the Prayer which Magnetises All that Appears and Exists.
Wang Dü is the main prayer of magnetizing activities practised in the Rigpa Sangha. On many occasions, even since Rigpa’s earlier days, great masters including Chagdud Tulku, Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche and His Holiness Sakya Gongma Trichen Rinpoche have recommended that we accumulate this prayer.
Now, based on the recent advice of Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche we are strongly advised to focus on and dedicate our energy and joy to reciting this powerful prayer.
How can we all get involved?
The easiest way is to set an accumulation goal — both for your personal practice and with any group practices you join. For example, in your personal practice, you might aim for 7, 21, 108 or more recitations of the prayer each day. In group practices, you could add 7, 21 or 108 recitations to every session, or get festive and gather with sangha friends weekly to accumulate together in a fun way.
Most important is that we bring meaning and focus to the practice, directing our practice towards the perfect interdependent circumstances for the fulfillment of all of our and our teachers’ aspirations and the smooth accomplishment of Rigpa's many projects - so we continue to raise high the victory banner of Buddha's teachings long into the future.

Dharma Mati, Berlin
During the recent Tendrel Nyesel Drupchö at Dharma Mati —celebrating the 100th anniversary of Tertön Sogyal, Lerab Lingpa— the Dharma Mati team put out 25 prayerflags to be blessed during the Drupchö that will be hang as soon as possible at the centre! Participants helped with their dedication and practice to make these flags be a powerful source of accomplishing the highest aim: the perfect and lasting happiness of all sentient beings.
Dedication from a sangha member committing to accumulate 21 wang-Du prayers per day. May we be victorious!
