Chagdud Khadro married Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche—a great master of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism—in 1979, and remained his devoted student for twenty-three years.
At the time of her ordination as a lama in 1997, Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche invested her as the future Spiritual Director of Chagdud Gonpa Brasil. After Rinpoche’s transition, as head lama, she has focused on maintaining the high calibre of Vajrayana training he had established.
Formerly a journalist in the United States, and now a lineage holder of the ‘ancient’ school of Tibetan Buddhism, Khadro has a profound experience of living a fully spiritual life that bridges the worlds of ancient wisdom and modern challenges.
Rigpa is looking forward to welcoming Chagdud Khadro to teach in its centres in Dzogchen Beara in Ireland, Hamburg and Zurich.
