Rigpa News

Hi everyone, welcome to Rigpa News!

We're opening this page to share recent developments and events happening in Rigpa as they unfold. A lot has happened in the past eight months. Rigpa is undergoing change and transformation and we recognize the need to communicate in many different ways, and more regularly.

Rigpa’s main purpose is to share the wisdom and compassion of the Buddhist teachings, and this is unchanging despite all the challenges we are currently going through.

We look forward to introducing you to the people who make up Rigpa and sharing all kinds of news and information, not only about activities and events happening in Rigpa, but also news from the Buddhist world. We hope to share many voices on this page.

Let us know what you think...

 Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche

Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche

On Sunday 11 March, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse finished his series of talks given at Rigpa centres in Berlin, Lerab Ling, Paris and London. Contemplating on those two weeks, I’m truly amazed at the incredible amount of time, effort, care and wisdom he has shared with us! As Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse said, his intention was to “[help] clarify some of the widespread doubts, misinterpretations, and misunderstandings about the Vajrayana teachings.”* Looking at the 12+ hours of teachings, I think many of us will find food for thought and reflection about the Vajrayana teachings in there.

For me, this just shows how Rigpa can continue to serve the Buddhist community at large, by inviting authentic masters who are genuinely concerned with the way the Dharma is presented in our modern day context. I hope Rigpa can continue playing its key role in sharing the Dharma in the most authentic and modern way for countless generations to come!

If you want to catch up, here’s a playlist of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse’s five talks in English, in chronological order.

We also have:

two talks with French translation (Lerab Ling and Paris talks)

two with German translation (Berlin and Lerab Ling talks)

one with Spanish translation (Lerab Ling talk)

one with Italian translation (Lerab Ling talk)
